So buckle up those wrist guards, tighten your trucks, grab your deck and let’s drop in.

Vans Skatepark (Vans Skatepark), Buenos Aires, Argentina

OD/ID - Outdoor

Location - Av. Belisario Roldán 4511 1425 Autonomous City Of Buenos Aires

Website - https://skateparksargentina.com.ar/vans-skatepark

Imagine you’re cruising through the vibrant streets of Buenos Aires, the sun blazing down like a spotlight on your deck as your wheels rattle over the paving slabs. The city pulses with an electric energy, and just when you think you’ve seen it all, there it is—a concrete marvel rising from the horizon like a architectural phoenix. You squint against the glare, and suddenly, it hits you: You’ve stumbled upon the Vans Skatepark, where gravity takes a vacation and concrete dreams sprout wings.

The Vans Skatepark isn’t your run-of-the-mill kiddie pool; no, it’s the Bowl of Legends—a vertiginous abyss that could give a mountain goat vertigo. Imagine a 90-degree incline of pure vertical madness. Skaters drop in, their boards carving lines that blur the boundary between art and insanity. And when you catch air at the lip, time stretches like soft toffee. For that split second, you’re weightless, immortal, and the world holds its breath.

This skatepark is fit for Royalty: They’ve got amenities that make other skateparks jealous. There’s a chill-out zone, where skaters swap war stories and sip on energy drinks, and bathrooms that offer essential comforts for skaters during their sessions. National and international showdowns happen here. Pros from every corner of the globe drop in to battle it out. The crowd roars as skaters launch themselves into the abyss, spinning, flipping, and defying the laws of sanity. And when the sun sets, the floodlights kick in, casting an otherworldly glow on the concrete canvas. It’s like skating through a neon-lit dream.

The Vans Skatepark isn’t some exclusive club with a velvet rope. Nope. It’s free, open, and wild. From 10 AM to 8 PM, the gates swing wide for anyone with wheels and the only rule is to shred with passion.

So, my fellow asphalt anarchists, grab your deck, slap on your favorite stickers, and head to the Vans Skatepark. Because life’s too short for safe landings and straight lines.

RAMPAFFAIRZ (Zumiez) Skatepark, Wevelgem, Belgium

OD/ID - Indoor

Location - Vlamingstraat 6, 8560 Wevelgem, Belgium

Website - https://rampaffairz.be/skatepark/

@FlatspotMagazine @rampaffairz @complex

This place isn’t just a skatepark; it’s a sanctuary for the gnarliest tricks, the slickest slides, and the most audacious airtime. The air smells of worn grip tape, determination, and a hint of defiance.

Back in the day, this spot was the legendary ZumieZ skatepark. But fate pulled a switch flip and Zumiez went belly-up, leaving behind a concrete wasteland. In recent years, the skatepark was resurrected and Rampaffairz rose from the ashes like a phoenix with a deck. Although not affiliated with the old management, the new owners have made every effort to keep the feeling of the old Zumiez skatepark alive. Like a secret handshake between skaters,it’s their way of saying, “We remember. We respect. But damn, we’re gonna make our own mark”.

As well as skateboarding, this place is an open invitation to other urban disciplines such as inline skates and BMX. You bet your pegless wheels! Just remember, pegs are like training wheels for the weak—leave 'em at home. We’re talking raw, unfiltered street shredding.

This park is dope.

Pura Pura, La Paz, Bolivia

OD/ID - Outdoor

Location - Parque Ecologico de Pura Pura, La Paz, Bolivia

Website - https://www.facebook.com/skateparkpurapura/

@RedBullSkateboarding @skatebolivia @complex

If you are an altitude junkie, then this is the skatepark for you! Pura Pura is Bolivia’s first-ever skate shrine—a 1,200 square-meter DIY masterpiece that defies gravity.

Back in 2014, a collaborative effort undertaken by the Make Life Skate Life non-profit organisation teamed up with the Bolivian skate gods—Milton Arellano and Kenny Davalos—and said, “Let’s build a skatepark”.  And in less time than it takes to binge-watch a season of your favourite show, they summoned an army of 100+ volunteers from 15 countries and built a skaters wonderland.

A DIY skate utopia that flips the bird at sea level. At over 4,000 metres above sea level, the oxygen here is scarcer than unicorn tears. But who needs oxygen when you’ve got adrenaline pumping through your veins? You drop in, and suddenly, you’re part of the cosmic equation: altitude + asphalt = euphoria. It’s insane!

This place isn’t just a skatepark; it’s a heartbeat for the community. La Paz and El Alto’s youth flock here like moths to a neon flame. There’s a youth centre—a sanctuary where dreams ride on four wheels. They loan out skate gear like it’s pirate treasure, and offer free weekly classes that can be more life-changing than a double backflip off a vert ramp. Stay gnarly, my amigos.

Venice Beach, Skatepark, California

OD/ID - Outdoor

Location - 1800 Ocean Front Walk Venice, 90291, West Los Angeles

Website - https://www.veniceskatepark.com/

One of the most influential places in the development of skateboarding has been Venice Beach, California. At a cost $3.4 million to build, Venice Beach Skatepark is arguably the world's most iconic public skatepark, situated in the vibrant Venice Beach area of Los Angeles.

Launched in 2009, the 16,000 sq ft park has since become a mecca for skaters from all around and firmly rooted Venice Beach to its rich skateboarding legacy.

The playground was designed to reflect the area's rich skateboarding history, featuring a variety of steps, rails, and bowls inspired by backyard pools where some early skaters used to ride.

Vancouver Skate Plaza, Vancouver, Canada

OD/ID - Outdoor

Location - Georgia Street and Dunsmuir viaducts at the intersection of Union St. and Quebec St.

Website - https://vancouver.ca/parks-recreation-culture/downtown-skateboard-plaza.aspx

@RedBullSkateboarding @thevancouverskateplaza @complex

The Vancouver Skate Plaza is a gritty slice of skate heaven tucked beneath the Georgia Street and Dunsmuir viaducts. Back in 2004, when flip phones were cool and MySpace ruled the interweb, this beast was born—the first-ever street plaza skatepark.  26,000 sq ft of unfiltered freedom.  It’s free to ride, but the price of admission, is your sanity. This park ain’t no leisurely stroll; it’s a high-speed chase with gravity. Complex magazine, bless their ink-stained souls, anointed it #21 on the global skatepark hit list. If it couldn’t get any better, in 2011, the skatepark got a facelift. A 2,000-square-metre sanctuary where advanced riders battle their own limits. With replica rails, embankments, curbs, walls, ramps, and steps—this park has it all.  And what makes this park special? It never sleeps. It’s open 24/7, like a neon-lit portal to another dimension. So when the moon hangs low and the city dreams, you’ll find skaters carving lines, chasing moonbeams, and laughing at gravity’s expense.

Skatepark Los Reyes, Santiago, Chile

OD/ID - Outdoor

Location - Santiago, Región Metropolitana, Chile

@dronjuanlopez2061 @complex

Los Reyes Skatepark is South America’s Crown Jewel and has more twists than a Quentin Tarantino plot. It’s one of the biggest skateparks in Chile and those skate guru’s at Complex magazine, put it at #23 on their global hit list.

It has a big street zone and a bowl that develops into the shape of a snake. It has been host to events such as the Vans Royal Sidestripe. The bowls develop progressively from being gentle to quite vertical. The street zone is characterised by a large bank which has a respectable handrail, a quarter with curving, a ramp to get air and a set of stairs with a hubba and an accessible handrail.

You’ll find a large parking area close to the skatepark. There are toilets and if you get peckish, there are often rogue trollies lying around, selling food and drink. Be careful to guard your backpack as it’s likely to disappear quicker than a politician’s promise.

This skatepark is outdoors so bear in mind that the wettest time is between May and September. Admission is free and it’s solely for skaters.

GMP Skatepark, Guangzhou, China

OD/ID - Outdoor

Location - District of Panyu, Guangzhou, China

@bestialwolfscooter @complex

Buckle up, buttercup, you're in for one hell of a ride! GMP Skatepark is a skateboarding colossus that makes Godzilla look like a gecko. Set in the heart of the city, it’s adrenaline on tap, and a park so massive it’s got its own gravitational pull. Set over 168,000 sq ft, when you roll up, your eyes do a double take. It’s like the Hulk flexed and ready to shred.

This is a world-class skating facility where Chinese skateboarders and foreign riders flock to unleash their inner demons and high-five chaos right in the face. It’s like Gotham City for skaters—minus the capes, but with twice the adrenaline. The ramps are steeper than your ex’s emotional rollercoaster. The rails, as smooth as a jazz sax solo and the vibe is electric, like a lightning bolt doing kickflips.

There’s a Street Zone, where staircases lead to nowhere, ledges, benches and handrails dare you to slide like a firework on steroids. The transition section has ramps, mini ramps, and a snake run that slithers like a demented python. And to top it off, the giant bowl with walls so vertical, skaters drop in like kamikaze pilots, pulling tricks that make angels weep.

The vert section is insane and isn’t for the faint-hearted. We’re talking a massive full-pipe—it’s like riding a tornado while juggling chainsaws. And the vert ramp? It’s the stairway to skate heaven. Thrilling? Hell yes. Challenging? More than a Rubik’s Cube on fire.

Mystic Skatepark, Prague, Czech Republic

OD/ID - Indoor

Location - Mystic Skatepark Štvanice z.s. Štěpánská 31, Prague 1, 110 00

Website - https://mysticskatepark.cz/

@mysticsk8cup645 @mysticskatepark

Prague ain’t just about castles and cobblestones. It’s got skateparks too, over 80 of them to be precise and Mystic Skatepark is one of the best. It’s where wood meets wheels, and adrenaline drips like graffiti off a moonlit ramp.

Mystic Constructions—the Gandalfs of skatepark wizardry—wove their spells and created this awesome covered venue. All year round, rain or shine, wheels spin like vinyl records on fire and skaters from every corner of the globe drop in like meteorites

So next time you’re in Prague, follow the moonlight. It’ll lead you to Mystic.

Micropolis Skatepark, Helsinki, Finland

OD/ID - Outdoor

Location - Nordenskiöldinkatu, Helsinki , Finland

@JuicySB

Micropolis Skatepark is a concrete Dreamscape: a skate utopia stitched together from geometric fragments. If Picasso dropped acid and designed a skatepark, it would have been something like Micropolis. Concave concrete track that’s as sinuous as a serpent on a skateboard. It winds, it weaves, and it ends in a hemispherical bowl—a crater where gravity gets tipsy.

There’s also a truncated pyramid, a concrete crater, a metal box—each perfumed with the fragrance of defiance.  And those steps? They wrap around a tree like a hug from Mother Nature herself.

Bowl du Prado, Marseille, France

OD/ID - Outdoor

Location - 199 Avenue Pierre Mendès France, 13008 Marseille, France

Website - Prado Skatepark / Bowl | City of Marseille

@RedBullSkateboarding

Found on the beach of Plage De Prado, the Bowl du Prado skatepark is one of the most famous in all of Europe. Le Monde newspaper called it the “most famous skatepark on the continent”. It’s been featured in many films, competitions, and in Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 and 2 video game.

The Bowl du Prado regularly hosts world famous competitions such as Quiksilver Bowlrider, Red Bull Bowl Rippers, and the Orange Massilia Freestyle Cup.  With hundreds of lines, hips that defy geometry, painted bowls deeper than a clown's pocket, and steel coping that grins like a maniac, it’s certainly a skater's paradise.

Skatehalle, Berlin, Germany

OD/ID - Indoor/Outdoor

Location - Revaler Straße 99, 10245 Berlin

Website - https://skatehalleberlin.com/

@skatehalleberlin9325 @skatehalle.berlin

The Skatehalle Berlin is the only indoor skatepark in town and it’s like Hogwarts for deck wizards. It also has an open-air skate yard area where you can high-five the sun while doing an Airwalk.

After you’ve shredded your heart out, you can chillax in the SHB Café. From cool lemonades and iced teas to Regional beer from Neulich. So whether you’re carving the concrete or sipping a coffee, Skatehalle Berlin has got you covered. It’s like a multifunctional spaceship—skateboarding, cinema, and a garden. Beam me up, Scotty!

Gratitude Trails Skatepark, Andros, Greece

OD/ID - Outdoor

Location - Apoikia, Andros – Cyclades 845 00, Greece.

Website - https://bluenigma.com/contact-bluenigma-andros-hotel-backpackers/

@RAGNAROLL @bluenigmagreece

Nikos Garyfallos, the skate sorcerer, waved his wand (and probably a deck or two) and conjured this state-of-the-art playground high up in the Kakosouli Mountain. This ain’t no ordinary skatepark. With its seamless rides, panoramic views, handcrafted trails and bowls, it’s like skating on the moon, but with better Wi-Fi.

The skatepark is part of the Blue Enigma Hotel and Backpackers. The hike to reach this skaters haven is like climbing the Stairway to Shredding!

Skate Park Galit, Tel Aviv, Israel

OD/ID - Outdoor

Location - Galit Park, Tel Aviv-Yafo, Israel

Website - https://www.facebook.com/skateparkgalit/

@skateboardisrael @danielshveka3681

We’re talking Israel’s concrete cathedral— the temple of tailslides. Galit Park was built by a local skater. nestled in scenic splendor, Galit Park isn’t just a skatepark; it’s a well-designed chaos of concrete curves and ramps and smoother than a James Bond pickup line.

The park is challenging enough, designed to accommodate various disciplines, allowing skateboarders, to showcase their creativity and push their limits. With its dynamic features, inviting atmosphere, and commitment to safety, Galit Park  is a prime destination for skateboarding enthusiasts and adrenaline junkies.

Pietrasanta Skate Plaza, Italy

OD/ID - Outdoor

Location - Via G. Marconi, 42, 55045 Pietrasanta Lucca, Italy

Website - https://skate-plaza.edan.io/

Pietrasanta—the Tuscan town where marble flows like liquid dreams. Waste from local marble plants gave local skateboarders the idea of using the resulting discarded material for a secondary purpose, to build the world’s only all-marble skatepark.

There are banks, kickers ledges benches and the transitions are like secret portals to the underworld. It's something original and good that you can't skate everyday. It's a public skatepark open everyday from daylight till 11 p.m.

Skip Factory Skate Park, Japan

OD/ID - Indoor

Location - Higashi-Tokorozawa City, Japan

Website - https://www.facebook.com/skipfactory2016/

1,000 square metres of skate nirvana—all on one floor, Skip Factory features orthodox section layout centered on basic items arranged in a precise, orderly manner. It’s as if the skatepark was designed by a Swiss watchmaker. Local skaters had been craving this place like vampires crave sunscreen.  When Skip Factory finally opened in 2016, the local skating community lost their minds.

As well as an awesome indoor skatepark, there is also a skate shop on site stocked with protectors, skate shoes, skateboards, the whole enchilada.

Backyard Skatepark, Manila, Philippines

OD/ID - Outdoor

Location - 109 Rizal Blvd, Purok 5 Barangay Tagapo, City of Sta. Rosa, Laguna

Manila’s Skate Renaissance is rocking harder than a headbanger at a metal concert. Just as skating is becoming more and more diverse, mainstream Manila is thankfully and finally catching up. Aside from the classic black-topped decks, skaters are riding speed demon longboards, and mini cruisers that come in more colors than a gay pride parade.

Backyard Skatepark is a one hell of a skate park with ramps and curves for every level, from beginner to advanced which is totally awesome.

Area 51 Skatepark, Eindhoven, Netherlands

OD/ID - Indoor

Location - Klokgebouw 51, 5617 Ab Eindhoven

Website - https://www.area51eindhoven.nl/

Area 51 is one of the largest indoor skateparks in Europe with over 2800 square metres of spectacular skating space. With a vert ramp so big skaters ascend it like astronauts ascending a launch pad. And when they drop in, time slows down, the crowd gasps with clenched buttocks and fellow skaters look on in awe as if they’ve just witnessed the skateboarding equivalent of a unicorn tap-dancing on a rainbow. It’s the stuff of legend. To keep things fresh, Area 51 rearranges its ramps more often than a teenager rearranges their room. One day, you’re grinding the “Quantum Quarters,” and the next, you’re doing kickflips over the “Uncertainty Gap.”

In the bowels of the skatepark lies the party cellar. It’s like a clandestine rave for skaters. Rumour has it that Tony Hawk himself once dropped in from the ceiling, shouting, “I’m here for the half-pipe and the half-price mochas!” Yes, Area 51 has an awesome coffee shop, where the barista knows every local skater's name, skate stance and preferred roast. They serve espressos so strong, they’ve been known to kickflip your soul.

Remember, life’s a half-pipe—ride it with style, and never forget to caffeinate responsibly.

Camas skatepark, Sevilla, Spain

OD/ID - Outdoor

Location - Prol. Benavente, 39, 41900 Camas, Sevilla, Spain.

Website- Riverside Bowl Skate Park | Camas WA (cityofcamas.us)

@SKATEfilmstvchanel #skateboardingspain

Camas skatepark is a place where skateboards, BMX bikes, rollerblades, and scooters coexist like a chaotic family reunion. It’s a multi-level haven, packed with obstacles and lines that is every skater’s dream.

There’s a large bowl where souls are baptized in axle grease and a street area with hubbas, ledges and a variety of spots for all disciplines. The shapes and textures of this skatepark blend seamlessly with the city’s characteristic colours.

Stapelbaddsparken Skatepark, Malmo, Sweden

OD/ID - Outdoor

Location - Stapelbäddsgatan 3, 211 19 Malmö

Website - https://skatemalmo.se/parks/stapelbaddsparken/

@bergerskateboarding4648

In the heart of the gritty old shipyard slipway, lies a sanctuary for the city’s skaters: Stapelbaddsparken Skatepark, a 3000-square-metre canvas of concrete and chaos.

The park consists of a bowl landscape with its edges scarred by countless ollies and grinds. There’s also a street inspired area scattered with metallic monstrosities rising from the ground like twisted relics of a forgotten civilization. These sculptures shift, mutate, and rearrange themselves, creating new lines and challenges, continuously beckoning skaters to dance with danger.

In 2016, granite benches were added and serve a dual purpose: to corral the wandering masses, and to provide a canvas for weary skaters to catch their breath. These benches aren’t just some slab of stone; they’re witnesses to wipeouts, confessions, and some late-night anarchy. Legends are born here, and bones are broken. But hey, that’s the price of admission.

Aljada Skatepark, Sharjah, UAE

OD/ID - Outdoor

Location - Aljada urban district

Website - https://www.facebook.com/AljadaSkatePark

@AradaLiving @aljadaskatepark

A 90,000-square-foot slab of pure skater Heaven and smack dab in the heart of Aljada’s urban jungle. With an Olympic-level Street course, with rails, gaps and ledges that taunt skaters like sirens luring sailors to their doom. The two deep ends at this section are like the devil’s own halfpipes. 3.3 metres of pure vert madness.  Drop in, and pray the grip tape, grips.

From the cosmic void to the concrete abyss, Aljada serves up bowls for every skill level. Beginners tiptoe along the rim, their hearts pounding like bass drums and seasoned rippers dive headfirst, defying centrifugal forces.

The Street Sections has it all. Rails grind like rusty teeth, and stair sets mock sanity. Skaters weave through skate runs like urban ninjas, their boards an extension of their souls and Aljada’s pro-level phase has a vert wall the size of a monolith.

This park was built to skate hard. If you’re not bleeding, you’re not trying hard enough.

So, there you have it, the sacred scrolls of skateboarding enlightenment have unfurled the world’s most awesome skateparks. Whether you’re dropping in at SMP, exploring Area 51 or carving the bowls of Venice Beach, each one offers its own slice of skateboarding paradise.

Go-forth my decked-out disciples, and carve your own stories into the asphalt. Stay gritty, stay airborne, and may your wheels keep spinning
